Resolve Dublin ("we", "our", "us") is a civic issue reporting platform that allows residents to report problems in Dublin to the relevant authorities. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

When you submit a report, we may collect:

  • Photos you upload of the issue
  • Location data (GPS coordinates) to pinpoint the issue
  • Your name and email address (if voluntarily provided)
  • A description of the issue

You are not required to provide your name or email to submit a report. Reports can be submitted anonymously.

How We Use Your Information

  • To display reports on the public map dashboard
  • To forward reports to Dublin City Council and relevant authorities
  • To send you updates about your report (if you provided your email)
  • To generate aggregate statistics about civic issues in Dublin

AI Processing

We use Google Gemini AI to analyze photos you submit in order to automatically categorize issues and generate descriptions. Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored by the AI service beyond the duration of the analysis.

Public Visibility

Reports, including photos, descriptions, locations, and categories, are publicly visible on the Resolve Dublin map and website. Do not include personal or sensitive information in your reports. Reporter names and email addresses are never displayed publicly.

Data Sharing

Reports are forwarded to Dublin City Council and relevant local authority departments for action. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS in the EU region) and Vercel (for photo storage). We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
